- Final exams continue today with periods 2, 4, and 6.
- Today we will have periods 1-6 and then a 7th period final
- Tomorrow will be finals in periods 1, 3, and 5
- Thursday will be for makeup exams only.
- Please turn in all library books and textbooks as soon as you are finished with them. All library books were due last week. All textbooks are due May 24.

- Graduation is at Tingley Coliseum at 6:30pm. All are welcome but please remember that only clear bags are allowed and that you must go through a metal detector to enter.

Cibola Sports Update
- Congratulations to Cibola Softball for making it to the top 6 during last week's state softball tournament.
- Congrats to the following track athletes for their success at the Track and Field State Meet last weekend.
- Imani Smith took 4th in the 100m and 2nd in the 200m
- Trinity Short took 6th in the 100m hurdles and 2nd in the 300m hurdles.
- The team of Scarlette McIntyre, Lisa Torres, Ariana Bathurst, and Imani Smith took 6th in the 4x100 relay.
- Aaliyah Lucero took 9th in Pole Vault.
- Ty Krafft took 8th in the 800m.
- Jalil Dixon took 10th in high jump.

take some of these courses in college should apply.

2. A non-fiction essay on a topic of their choice or a fiction short story.

- Good luck to golf that competes in their district tournament today.
- Congratulations to baseball on earning the 13th seed in the state baseball tournament. They'll take on Carlsbad in Carlsbad later this week.
- Congratulations also to softball. They earned the 7th seed in the state softball tournament. They'll play Organ Mountain here at Cibola on Friday or Saturday.

- Day 3 of Between the Bells is happening at lunch today in room E-21 with Mr. Palomares and other members of your Cibola staff and faculty. Thank you to those who have been in attendance the last 2 days. You still have a chance to get a free bracelet to join in on showing solidarity for issues regarding mental health. We are also asking that students wear yellow on Friday to show their support for one another and those struggling with mental health challenges. We hope to see you at lunch!

Cibola Sports Update
- Congratulations to softball on their 7-6 win yesterday over Atrisco Heritage. They finish the regular season with a record of 20-5.
- A huge congrats to Jalyn Montes. Yesterday she broke the state single season home run record by smashing her 20th home run of the season.
- Baseball also wrapped up their regular season yesterday afternoon. They crushed Atrisco Heritage yesterday 18-4. Congrats guys!

Key Club is partnering with READ 2 ME for their annual book drive. Help us reach our goal of collecting over 5,000 new or gently used children's books. These books will be given to New Mexico children who do not have their own books. Donations can be dropped off in D4 (Bois), C15 (Gatch), E32 (Alderete), or in the library from April 24 thru May 5.

Yearbooks are currently on sale and/or available for pickup during lunch this week in the concourse. You may purchase a yearbook for $80 with cash, check or using school pay. You can also purchase your yearbook in Room C-20 with Mr. Garcia.

If you are a senior and have an online eCademy course, you must take your final exam in person with Ms. Garcia in B5.

Senior Finals will be on Thursday May 4th and Friday May 5th, after school.

You must be in the lab by 2:40pm.

Students needing a final exam after 2:40 must take the exam at eCADEMY's main campus located off of San Mateo and I-40 from 3-5pm. No Exam will be opened after 5pm.

If you are already finished with your course and just need to take your final, you can come to B5 during lunch, 5th, 6th, or 7th periods and take your final right away.

It is that time again-the Bunny Wong Memorial Scholarship is accepting applications until May 1st.

Senior students interested in English, Journalism, or Creative Writing and intend to
take some of these courses in college should apply.

To apply, seniors will need:
interest in writing.
1. A paragraph or two outlining career goals.
2. A non-fiction essay on a topic of their choice or a fiction short story.
3. A letter of recommendation from a Cibola teacher or someone who can confirm their - Applicants will submit their writing and recommendation letter to Mrs. Valencia by May 1st.

Cibola Sports Update
- All girls interested in playing soccer for Cibola next year, there will be an information meeting at lunch this Friday in Coach Weihe's room which is room F-9.
- Baseball and Softball both celebrate their seniors this afternoon with their senior games. Softball begins at 3:30 and baseball begins at 4:00, both teams play Atrisco here at home.
