Mission:

Cibola High School's Counseling Department strives to fulfill the Cibola High School Mission to "Motivate, Educate, and Graduate" ALL students.

Vision:

ALL Cibola High School students graduate as knowledgeable and independent, achieving their fullest potential, capable of determining their futures and attaining fulfilling careers, positively contributing to a diverse society in a changing world.

We look forward to working with and supporting all students and families at Cibola.  The 2021-2022 school year brings change, and one of those changes involves the assignment of students for counseling services.  Please see contact information in the right column.

 

ASSISTANCE WITH COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

If you or your family needs assistance regarding COVID-19:

  • You may also view & complete the COVID-19 Assistance Request Form
  • APS has created the APS @ Home Helpline:  Call 768-LINK (768-5465). This is a helpline set up by APS to assist families with needs such as food, mental health, etc. Video explaining services
  • If you need immediate assistance, please contact the APS District Office at 505-880-3700.
  • Robbie's Hope:  "We are a movement.  An uprising of teens to help other teens.  We’ve made it our mission to stop the suicide epidemic that’s taking the lives of our friends."

News about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) may still be creating anxiety and concerns. If you or a loved one is experiencing any kind of emotional crisis, mental health or substance use concern, the NM Crisis & Access Line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Call the NM Crisis & Access Line at 1-855-662-7474 (24/7); call or text their Peer-to-Peer Warmline at 1-855-466-7100 (call 3:30pm-11:30pm; text 6pm-11pm); and visit the NM Crisis and Access Line . 

The New Mexico Public Education Department sent out a memo 3/19/2020 entitled, "General Behavioral Health Resources for COVID-19," providing resources to help yourself, your family, and your loved ones. Remember, even when things feel overwhelming, there is hope and there is help.
