Career and Technical Education
Programs of Study
Cibola High School offers 4 Career and Technical Education Programs of Study. A Program of Study is a sequence of courses connecting secondary and postsecondary education leading to a career. This includes a specific sequence of courses including a clear connection to a post-secondary program, association in a career technical education student organization and a work site training experience, such as, student internship, job shadowing, or pre-apprenticeship while in high school. The idea is to increase relevance and rigor of current education for a student as it relates to future career goals whether it be going straight into the workforce following graduation from high school, going into the military, or attending a post-secondary institution of either a 2-year or 4-year college. The student becomes more informed about their career choices and the educational needs of pursuing a career path of choice.
